Sophie Monk: Bikini Beach Babe

Tis the season for beautiful celebrity bikini bodies! And the latest babe to come across the beach radar is none other than Sophie Monk.

The Aussie actress added a little extra heat to the hot SoCal weather on Monday (July 21) with her stunning red and white two-piece bikini as she frolicked around the Malibu beach.

When she wasn’t sunning herself and making the boys drool, Sophie was in the ocean taking surfing lessons from a pal before hopping under one of the outdoor showers to rinse off.

And while she’s been slowly wading into the waters of American cinema, Miss Monk is set to make a big splash in the upcoming months with five projects on the way, including “Spring Breakdown,” “The Hills Run Red,” “Spring Break ’83,” “Pearblossom,” and “Hard Breakers.”

Hundreds take on bikini challenge

More than 300 women were photographed in bikinis in Redcar

Hundreds of women braved the British weather and stripped down to their bikinis to be photographed on a Teesside beach.

But the event at Redcar beach failed to beat the existing world record of 1010 women in bikinis which was set on Bondi Beach, Australia, in September 2007.

The 320 women who took part, including an 81-year-old, helped raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.

The event's organiser described the atmosphere as "fantastic".

Mike Robson, chairman of fundraising at the Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club, said: "The rotary club traditionally do dances and quizzes, it's all the same.

"I thought 'it's time we do something different'.

"I mentioned it to the club and their jaws dropped but then they saw the double challenge of the Guinness World Record and the fundraising element for the air ambulance and everyone worked their socks off."

He added: "It was electric. The atmosphere was fantastic."

Not keen on wearing a bikini

EIGHT out of ten women feel too self-conscious to wear bikinis this summer, a survey has found.

Those aged 16 to 24 most fear looking fat — even if other people say they are not.

A quarter would consider cosmetic surgery and almost half diet before going on holiday.

A spokesman for Del Monte Ice Creams, who carried out the research, said: “It is worrying that so many women are feeling self-conscious.”

Actress Denise Van Outen said size zero models were making “normal” curvy women want to stay covered up.

Carmen Electra-fies in sizzling bikini shots

Once known for posing in a red swimsuit on a beach in front of the cameras, you would think Carmen Electra had moved on from her old Baywatch days.

Yet here she is wearing another red costume - albeit a much smaller one - in a sultry pose on Malibu beach in front of the, er, cameras.

On what is tipped to be the hottest day of the year so far, Carmen sends temperatures soaring even further with this knotted two-piece and a pair of red heels.

The 35-year-old former Playboy model has, in recent years, carved out a Hollywood career with parts in films such as the Scary Movie series, Starsky & Hutch and I Want Candy

It's been a while since Carmen's red swimsuit days... ...but this one's skimpier than her old Baywatch one-piece

But some could argue bikinis are what Carmen knows best.

Last August she was photographed wearing four of the two-piece costumes in just one afternoon - complete with a range of accessories, including a Yorkshire terrier, a baby...and a group of her girlfriends for a group shot.
